Dixie Meadows Herd Featured on Horse Habit TV

Horse Habit TV produced an 8 minute segment on the History of the Heck Tarpan Horses. The segment featured the Dixie Meadow herd and expounded on the conservation efforts of Helen Dixon in trying to revive the breed and the registry. Dixie Meadows Herd Historian, Linda Martin, was interviewed for the production. Behind the scenes was producer Sandra J Sullivan asking the questions. Cinematographer Ben Corfield traveled from Richmond, Virginia to Rappahannock County to film for the day in late summer 2020. In spite of delays due to covid -19 the production was released online on March 12th, 2021 to an excellent reception by Tarpan lovers and other interested horse people.

Behind the scenes on filming day. It was a pretty amazing day and the yearlings were having a great time with Cinematographer Ben Corfield. Ben said he had never been around horses before. All of the horses on the farm obliged him with a great first time experience.
